Low volume 2D barcoded tubes unlock the door to efficient tube to assay ready plate workflow

The full benefits of assay miniaturisation have not been realised due to the challenges of preparing assay ready plates from stock compounds. This usually requires several intermediate dilution plates to arrive at the final assay plate. New low volume 2D barcode tubes offer the ability to manage compound inventory efficiently and prepare assay plates directly from the storage tubes.

Reduced assay volumes are driving down compound storage volumes. The new low volume tube provides a accessible storage volume of 209.5 uL (210 uL capacity with 0.5 uL dead volume). 200,000 of the 2D barcoded tubes can be stored in TTP Labtech’s comPOUND with access to any individual tube in less than 10 seconds, with true cherry picking of any tubes required in less than 15 minutes for a full rack of 96 tubes.

Cherry picked racks of 96 tubes can be transferred directly to the TTP Labtech mosquito and volumes as low as 25 nL transferred directly from the storage tube to a 96, 384 or 1536 well assay plate. Rapid reagent addition using the dragonfly discovery completes the task with a highly efficient workflow an no intermediate plates.
